Yarot T. Lafontaine Torres joined Ferraiuoli LLC as an Associate Attorney in the Corporate Department on October 2012. Mr. Lafontaine-Torres main practice areas include general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, securities and financial regulations. Mr. Lafontaine-Torres alongside Fernando J. Rovira Rullán, Capital Member and Chair of Ferraiuoli’s Corporate Department, co-authored the Puerto Rico chapters of the International Comparative Legal Guide to Mergers & Acquisitions and the International Comparative Legal Guide to Corporate Governance published by the, London based, Global Legal Group Ltd.Mr.
Prior to joining Ferraiuoli as a Law Clerk on June 2011, Mr. Lafontaine-Torres was a Financial Analyst in Operating Partners Co., a distressed asset management firm in San Juan from 2008 to 2010. Also, Mr. Lafontaine-Torres worked as an Analyst in the investment bank Lehman Brothers Inc., during the summer of 2008.
While at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, Mr. Lafontaine-Torres was selected to be the Editor-in-Chief of the Third Volume of the University of Puerto Rico Business Law Journal.
