Patricia Encarnación is the Chief of the Education and Training Branch, Professional Development Directorate (AF/JAX), Office of The Judge Advocate General, Pentagon. She is responsible for managing the educational opportunities for The Judge Advocate General’s Corps, including all courses at the Air Force, Army, and Navy JAG Schools. She manages The Judge Advocate General’s Developmental Education and Master of Laws Boards, as well as The Judge Advocate General’s Annual Awards Boards.
She also serves as The Judge Advocate General’s primary liaison on education and training requirements and resourcing matters.
Prior to her current assignment, Maj Encarnación Miranda has served as a trial counsel, operations law attorney, defense counsel, and appellate defense counsel. She has taught legal topics at different international engagements as an adjunct faculty member of the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies. Maj Encarnación Miranda received a direct commission as a judge advocate and entered active duty in October 2011. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
